About Oskaloosa Public Library

Oskaloosa Public Library exists to serve as a primary source of information, education, recreation, and personal fulfillment for all of the city of Oskaloosa and Mahaska County.


Directory of Staff and Board of Trustees

Library Hours :
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday and Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Library Cards:
Most Iowa residents are entitled to a free library card. Proof of current address and a photo I.D. are required to obtain a card. A card is required for checking out all library materials.


Check-out Period:
Two weeks: Books, music tapes, books on tape, compact discs, magazines, and nonfiction videos. These items may be renewed (in person or by telephone) up to two times if they are not reserved for another person.
Three days: DVDs and Videos are due by closing on the third day after check-out
Three days: Audio/Visual Equipment (overhead projectors, slide projectors, cameras)


Overdues:
Borrowers are responsible for returning materials by the date listed on their receipt.
A fine will be assessed on overdue items.


Copiers/Printers:
Black and white photocopies and computer printouts are 10 cents per page. Color copies are available for 50 cents per page. Microfilm printouts are 25 cents per page.
